Selangor Head Coach, Irfan Bakti, wants his players to stay focused if they want to finish within the top three in the Malaysian Super League this season
Selangor Head Coach, Irfan Bakti, has insisted that only a win over ATM in their next match will revive any hopes of claiming the secpnd or third spot in the Malaysian Super League.
A win over ATM can give them a huge morale boost in their quest of collecting 12 maximum points in their remaining four fixtures in the league.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Irfan said: "For me, the game against ATM is the turning point and we must get all three points if we want to reach the target of second or third place.
"It is probably too hard for us to be champions, so I don’t want to lose any points anymore.
"I have had enough with the 9 draws and I hope my players will work hard against ATM."
However, Irfan also reminded his players not to be complacent even though they have the home advantage.
"ATM is a strong team, with great players at their disposal.
"But, that does not scare me and I already told my players to be focused with our own style of play," he added.
ATM are currently third in the league with 33 points while Selangor are fourth with 30 points, eight points behind league-leaders LionsXII.
