Kelantan's government has announced June 30 as a state holiday so that the fans will not rush back home after the FA Cup final
Kelantan’s government has announced that the day after the FA Cup final (June 30) is a holiday for the state due to the Red Warriors' achievement thus far.
Deputy of Chief Minsiter, Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah, made the announcement after the Exco meeting on Wednesday.
According to him, the reason for the holiday is so that the Kelantan fans will not be rushing to come home after the game and they will arrive home safely.
Kelantan, the defending champions, are set to meet Johor Darul Takzim onJune 29 at theBukit Jalil Stadium after narrowly beating arch-rivals Terengganu 6-5 in the semi-final.
JDT on the other hand, beat Pahang on the away-goals rule to make it into the final, therefore ending hopes of an all-east coast final.
Kelantan manager, Azman Ibrahim recently pointed out the Red Warriors' determination to beat the Southern Tigers in the final, after already losing twice to the Johor side this season.
