Since the departure of their Spanish hitman, Dani Guiza, Johor Darul Takzim have been continuously linked with several established European stars namely Milan Baros, Louis Saha and even Juventus' January loan signing, Nicolas Anelka.

We have exclusively revealed Johor's pursuit of Milan Baros and how the former Czech international has turned down the opportunity to join the Southern Tigers a few days ago.

Their search for a marquee striker ended with the capture of former Independiente and Olympiacos forward, Leonel Nunez. The 28-year-old Argentine started his career at the same club which gave legendary Diego Maradona his professional debut, Argentinos Juniors.

Nunez was once regarded as a highly rated young striker in his country following a breakthrough season with Argentinos guiding them away from the relegation battle in the Argentine Pimera Division.

The lanky striker was unveiled to the fans alongside new signings Farid Ramli, Muhammad Nazri Ahmad, Jasazrin Jamaludin and Andrezinho at Tan Sri Hj Hassan Yunos Stadium, Larkin this morning.
