The Harimau Muda 'B' wanted at least a point from the game and was disappointed to concede two goals due to a lack in concentration.
Tampines Rovers entertained Harimau Muda at the Clementi Stadium and came out 2-1 winners.
Aleksander Duric and Shahdan Sulaiman found the net for the Stags while the Young Tigers pulled one back late in the game through Akmal Ishak.
Razip Ismail, despite the loss, was still smiling after the game.
After coming out of a four-week break Razip said: "I am disappointed with the outcome of the match as I wanted at least a point from this game."
"Overall, I think my players did well but the lack of concentration allowed Tampines Rovers to score twice in the second half."
The Young Tigers’ coach however, was pleased to see his strategy work in the first half where the home side were not able to score.
He said: "The players did well to follow my strategy and were unlucky to have a good chance blocked off the line."
A rather dejected Razip conceded that his players could have done better.
Harimau Muda now have gone three games without a victory and will play Balestier Khalsa in Pasir Gudang on March 28.
