According to Bakti, after suffering a goal drought, his boys managed to rise and show their true strength, playing exceptionally well.
"I didn't expect we would record a big victory tonight. Before the game started, I only thought we might win with a very thin margin," said Irfan.
"But, after watching the players' performance, clearly it was an excellent performance by them.
"We managed to control the game and make less mistakes.
"I am satisfied, after we weren't able to score any goals for the last three games, tonight we have shown everyone the true strength of Selangor," he added.
Selangor beat star-studded Johor Darul Takzim 4-1 on Saturday night and have climbed to the second spot in the Malaysian Super League.
Irfan also praised his players and said: "Our strategy to keep pressing the opposition worked out well and our players clearly excelled and followed every order."
