If their 7-1 FA Cup mauling of ATM Tentera Darat FC amounts to anything, Pahang FA will be rolling into this game confident of victory. Dollah Salleh will probably start with the XI that demolished ATM TD and captain Azamuddin Akil, who found the net four times in that game, will surely be included in the line-up. The Tok Gajahs’ faith in local talent have begun to bear fruit and if they get all three points tonight, Pahang will regain their perch on the summit of the Malaysian Super League (MSL) table.

ATM FA currently sit in the top spot but their recent form hasn’t been all too impressive fantastic. Eighth-place Terengganu were able to snatch three points from the league leaders in the last round, beating them 3-2. However, B. Sathianathan's men are still likely title contenders as they have the MSL’s joint-top scorer in their ranks, Marlon James, who has scored six times in the league so far. The other top scorer in the league, interestingly, is Pahang’s Fauzi.

Whenever the Gladiators and Elephants meet, a goal feast is guaranteed. Last season, ATM won 3-2 and in the returning fixture, boths sides shared the spoils with a 3-3 score line. However, Pahang have registered more wins against the Malaysian Armed Forces - having triumphed twice in their last four meetings.

The match will be played on March 1 at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman stadium in Seremban and is scheduled to kickoff at 8.45pm.

  • Marlon James of ATM FA

Pahang haven’t lost a home game to ATM in over four years.

  • The Elephants are the second-top scorers in the Malaysian Super League with 13 goals.

  • ATM FA crashed out in the first round of the FA Cup after an epic battle with Selangor FA which needed penalties to separate the two sides.

  • Marlon Alex James and Bruno Martelotto are two of the import players for the Gladiators that have been influential in their recent league run. Together, they have scored nine goals for ATM.
