Sports critic, Prof Emeritus Tan Sri Dr. Khoo Kay Kim, believes that the FAM should be more open-minded with criticism and commentsThe recent action by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), in implementing a rule stating that no members under the FAM can comment or criticse the institution, may make them to lose a lot of 'friends'.
This is according to national sports critic, Prof Emeritus Tan Sri Dr Khoo Kay Kim, who says that Article 88 of the FAM's statute may bring negative feelings from the fans towards the FAM.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Khoo said: "[The] FAM should be more open when receiving criticism and not give punishment to people, because it can help the association to improve themselves. I am worried that one day, everyone will be annoyed with the FAM's actions."
Tan Sri Annuar Musa and Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim are the latest victims of the new article. Before that, Datuk Raja Ahmad Zainuddin Raja Omar and Allahyarham Datuk Ahmad Basri Akil were also charged for their comments towards the FAM.
