Despite the results from the last two fixtures, Pahang seem like one of the most consistent teams in the league so far. The Tok Gajah led the league for a while and this match will be key for them to stake their claim in the title race once more. But they would have some trouble facing a rising Kelantan who just recorded their second win of the season against Terengganu last week.

Four wins and three losses, including the amazing show against Johor Darul Takzim on the opening day of the season, are enough to say that Dollah Salleh’s men are hungry to achieve something this season. Amirulhadi Zainal Abidin shocked the fans with his performance in midfield and that would definitely come in to play in this fixture.

Dollah will be looking to maintain his new tactical approach - simple and short passes - to maintain the Tok Gajah’s consistent result this season.

The travelling Kelantan, on the other hand, will not want to drop points. After a victory over Terengganu on their last fixture, the Red Warriors need to keep their momentum in order to steal three points at the Darul Makmur Stadium.

The ‘forgotten man’, Keita Mandjou, who finally scored his first two goals the Malaysian Super League, would be in high spirits to strike again. Partnering him upfront would likely be the legend, Indraputra Mahyuddin, who will be pulling strings for the Guinean to break Pahang defence.

This match would be mostly played out in midfield in which Kelantan look poised to control with the ever-present Badhri Radzi going head to head with Pahang’s Amirulhadi.
