The 23 year old defender could be on his way to join the reigning Super League champions on a permanent transfer from Harimau Muda AHarimau Muda A defender Fadhli Shas is being linked with a sensational move to the defending Malaysian Super League champions Kelantan FA, with the East Coast outfit apparently keen on bolstering their squad after having a slow start to the season.
The 23 year-old defender is currently with Ong Kim Swee's squad in Yangon, preparing for a friendly match against Myanmar this weekend, before flying off to face Laos a few days later.
While Kelantan's media officer, Mohd. Zuki, claimed that he was unaware of the situation, reports now suggests that Kelantan might have even concluded a deal to bring the talented defender over to Kota Bharu.
With Fadhli's impending arrival, the Red Warriors are also reportedly set to drop Obinna Nwaneri from the Super League foreign player quota, to allow space for another foreign striker to add more depth to their attack. Tan Sri Annuar Musa confirmed the signing of Dickson Nwakeme recently and he is likely to replace Obinna as their second foreign player, with Dimitri Petratos also set to replace Keita Mandjou.
Besides that, Fakri Saarani is another name that is being associated with Kelantan, with reports also suggesting that he is set for a premature return from his playing stint in the Portuguese third division.
Kelantan's major problem this season has been in the offensive department, where they have only amassed five goals in their first seven matches so far. Thus, the Red Warriors are already drafting out massive plans like these to revive the fortune of their team as the season progresses.
