According to Pahang coach, Dollah Salleh, his team's lack of experience in playing on an artificial surface caused his players to lose their rhythm and resulted in their failure to perform at their best.
Speaking to Sinar Harian, Dollah said: "The artificial field was maybe one of the reasons we could not play our best game today. Every move we tried did not [work]. I don't know why our players lost their focus and kept making the same mistakes.
"I dont want to make the artificial field an excuse. A loss is still a loss. What's important is that we have to be better in our next game and avoid losing again," he added.
However, he believes that his players can control their emotions, regain their focus and realise that there is still a long way to go in the Malaysian Super League.
