National head coach Datuk K. Rajagopal praised his players for their positive performance and commitment against Qatar, despite losing 2-0.
Malaysia's head coach Datuk K. Rajagopal is proud of the players' performance, despite going down 2-0 to Qatar in their opening match of the 2015 Asia Cup Qualifying campaign.

He was pleased with the performance and commitment demonstrated in the absence of several key players.

Speaking to Bernama, he said: "We were playing against a strong team. Luck was on Qatar's side when they scored the first goal, and the second goal in the dying minutes. We brought the fight back to Qatar. They did not expect the Malaysian squad to play well last night.

"I think all matches give many lessons and experiences to every player. They know they must play better after this," Rajagopal added.
