The Red Giants are determined to bounce back from their 1-1 draw against Perak in midweek by beating ATM in their FA Cup encounter on FridaySelangor head coach Irfan Bakti has pledged that his side will put on a strong show and beat ATM at the Shah Alam Stadium on Friday. The Red Giants were disappointing to a certain extent in their 1-1 draw with Perak, as they conceded a late equalizer which prevented them from claiming all three points.
However, they are keen to redeem themselves and Irfan Bakti believes that his boys will shine industriously to beat ATM and progress into the second round of the FA Cup.
"We will work hard to improve on all the weaknesses we portrayed against Perak the other day," he told Kosmo.
"I've told my players to forget whatever happened in Lumut the other day and focus on the tie against ATM and I'm confident that they will do just that.
The former Terengganu head coach also went on to add that his side must stop their habit of giving away penalties easily, just like they have done in their last two matches against Perak and Pahang.
"If we look back at the game against Perak and Pahang, we gave away penalties too easily. I hope our boys will be more careful with challenges that they make as a penalty can always change the outcome of any match."
