Hodak: Our first half display wasn't good enough

The Kelantan coach was happy with his teams second half display, but believes his players should have finished the game earlier
Kelantan head coach Bojan Hodak blamed his teams poor first half display that led to their defeat (on penalties) at the hands of ATM.

Speaking at the press conference, he said that he always expected that ATM would gave a good fight. "I said yesterday that it will be a tough match versus ATM. I am not happy with the first half. I think ATM played better in the first half."

The Croatian however was happy with the second half display as he believed Kelantan became the better team and created more chances, especially after they scored the first goal through Indra Putra Mahyuddin.  However, he was disappointed that his boys did not finish the game earlier by scoring the second goal although he did reserve praise for Irwan Fadzly, who scored a spectacular free kick.

"It was an excellent free kick. We need to shake hands with the guy who took it."

When asked about Kelantan's chances for next season, he said that it will be a difficult season for the champions. "I think it will be a difficult season because we lost some players. Because of that, we need to change our style of play."

Playing as the defending champions, he expects every team will want to try and beat them and they need to get used to that fact.

He went on to add, "It is easier to become champions rather than to win it again."

Bojan also said that Kelantan this season has enough depth in the squad, but conceded that he is worried whether the players on his bench are good enough to play and fight in the Super League.

"We have enough depth, but the question is if our players on the bench are good enough. So this one maybe affects us and maybe we have a problem. Defensively I think we are okay especially with our injured players coming back, but we might have a problem in attack."
