At 36 years old, Marlon Alex James would be undermined by many, but the man himself believes otherwiseMarlon Alex James is not done yet. That was the statement that came from the ATM FA forward, as he prepares for a nostalgic return to the Malaysia Super League battleground. Having previously won the trophy twice with Kedah, Marlon's hunger for the silverware doesn't seem to be dying off.
He had a stint with the Vancouver Whitecaps, before plotting a return back to Malaysia. However, Kedah rejected him due to his age, but ATM FA snapped him up and there has been no turning back since. The talismanic forward netted 34 goals in all competition last year, inspiring ATM to a Premier League title as well as guiding them into the Malaysia Cup final.
As a result, the Forces gained promotion back into the Super League, and with kick off the new season edging closer, Marlon is still confident of haunting defenders.
"'I do not set personal targets. What is important is the performance of my team. Of course, as a striker, my job is to find the net as many times as possible," he told the New Straits Times.
"'I had a great season in 2012...I want to make it better in the upcoming season. Yes, at 36, I am classified as an old man but as long as I can score goals against younger players, I will continue to haunt them.
