The Pahang head coach is optimistic that Morocco’s Mohamed Borji and Nikolche Klechkarosk of Macedonia can form a lethal partnership for the Elephants in the new MSL season
Pahang coach Dollah Salleh is confident the partnership between his two foreign strikers, Mohamed Borji and Nikolche Klechkarosk will get better with time.
So far, Moroccan Borji has impressed while playing in three friendly matches against clubs from Hong Kong.
Klechkarosk, who is from Macedonia, also showed enough commitment to give Dollah cause for optimism ahead of the new season.
“I believe Mohamed and Klechkarosk will be the mainstays of the team.
“Hopefully they can form the best understanding before the MSL (Malaysian Super League) begins,” Dollah told Berita Harian yesterday.
During their tour of Hong Kong recently, The Elephants recorded a 1-0 win over Citizen FC, and lost 3-1 and 2-1 to Rangers FC and Kitchee FC respectively.
Despite winning only one game, Dollah insisted that he was still satisfied with the team’s overall performance against Hong Kong’s best football clubs.
“This experience of playing against the three clubs is a new experience for the players, and it will prepare them for a positive start in the MSL in January.”
Pahang open their 2013 campaign against moneybags Johor Darul Takzim at their home Stadium Darul Makmur, on January 8.
