The club side will leave to Myanmar tonight for pre-season training, where they will also play friendlies with several local teams
Terengganu based T-Team have confirmed that they will play friendly matches with a number of Burmese clubs in Yangon next week.
The one week stint is part of the club’s pre-season training plans for next season’s Malaysian Super League (MSL) campaign, under new coach Peter James Butler.
Abdul Rashid Jusoh - the club’s Executive Officer, said that a hectic schedule would be awaiting the group of 30 players and officials upon their arrival in Myanmar.
“When we touch down in the morning, we will hold a training session straightaway. We will then play our first game the same night,” he told Bernama.
Abdul Rashid added that new import signing George Boateng will travel with the group as he is already in Kuala Lumpur.
“This would be the best chance for Boateng, because he had not been able to join the other players in the friendly matches before this,” he said.
T-Team, who also secured the services of former Wigan Athletic and Hull City striker Caleb Folan in the off-season, will leave for Yangon tonight.
