Malaysia will stage a replay of their epic battle against Indonesia from AFF Suzuki Cup 2010, on Saturday night. Both teams go into the final match with the knowledge that one of them could miss out on a semi-final spot.

The host nation who were trounced 3-0 by Singapore on the opening day recovered well for their second match against Laos, beating the qualifiers 4-1 to go level on points with Singapore, but a position behind due to goal difference.

Singapore coach Radojko 'Raddy' Avramovic shared his thoughts on Malaysia's chances against Indonesia.

“I think Malaysia will win," he said at the pre-match conference.

"They have enough quality players that are able to play in different positions. Indonesia have too many new and inexperienced players and lack the proper preparations heading into the tournament.

“But anything can happen and we’ll see how that one goes. In general, Malaysia should win the match.”

Malaysia have to to beat Indonesia to be assured of a semi-final spot. A draw would put their fate in the hands of Laos, who will have to overcome Singapore in the other Group B match, for Malaysia to qualify.

Singapore will also need a victory to ensure a final-four berth, but a draw would be enough should Malaysia fail to beat Indonesia.

Indonesia beat Malaysia 5-1 in the opening match of the Group stages at the 2010 edition, though Malaysia bounced back to clinch the championship by beating the same opponents in a two-legged final.
