Defending champions Malaysia will release the names of the final 22 players for the regional tournament at the end of training session
The full list of the 22 players that will carry Malaysia’s challenge in the AFF Suzuki Cup will be announced today by head coach Datuk K. Rajagopal.
The 56-year-old confirmed this news to Utusan Malaysia after a training session at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
“Yes, I will announce the list of 22 players tomorrow (today) after considering all factors,” he said.
“I took my time because anything can happen as injuries occur not only during training sessions. I thought it would be better to be safe than sorry.”
Rajagopal’s charges are scheduled to take on neighbours Singapore in the second Group B match on Sunday.
Elsewhere, tickets and gates committee chairman Datuk S. Sivasundaram said tickets for all Group B matches will start to go on sale today.
The ticket booths will open from 9am to 7pm daily at both venues (Shah Alam and Bukit Jalil Stadium) while on match days, tickets can only be purchased in Bukit Jalil.
