Club side T-Team have made their intentions for next season clear with the possible arrivals of George Boateng and Luis Boa Morte from England
Malaysian Super League (MSL) side T-Team is on the verge of completing a deal for former Dutch international George Boateng.
The 37-year-old midfielder has agreed in principle to join the Terengganu based team for next season’s campaign.
Peter Butler, the team’s new coach, expressed his delight with Boateng’s imminent capture.
“He played for Nottingham Forest in the English Football League last season and it’s a great league that requires its players to be physically fit,” Butler told Berita Harian.
T-Team have set out to be a dominant force in local football next season and have placed a target of winning at least one trophy.
Apart from Boateng, they are also in talks with Luis Boa Morte. The 35-year-old winger is currently attached to Chesterfield and has played in the English Premier League (EPL) for Arsenal, Fulham and West Ham.
Terengganu captain Marzuki Yusof and defender Mazlizam Mohamad have already signed for the club.
