The club’s Honorary Secretary confirms they are in talks to sign ‘one or two’ Malaysian internationals, including Khyril Muhymeen Zambri
Johor are set to continue their pursuit of quality players for the new season and have earmarked Kedah striker Khryil Muhymeen Zambri to be the club’s next signing.
According to Suhairi Hashim – Honorary Secretary of the Football Association of Johor (PBNJ), the club is currently in talks with a number of national team players including Khyril.
“Of course there are plans to bring in one or two national players into the team and discussions are ongoing at the moment,” he told Harian Metro.
“Khyril Muhymeen is one of them and we are waiting his for his answer. He had previously expressed his desire to join Johor.”
Suhairi also added that Johor’s management will check with Khyril’s current employers Kedah if they are willing to let him go since the player had already signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Canaries.
“We will do what is necessary and follow the procedures set by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM),” assured Suhairi.
Johor have thus far secured the signatures of Aidil Zafuan and Zaquan Adha Abdul Radzak, Azmi Muslim, Muslim Ahmad, Nurul Azwan Roya and former Spanish international Dani Guiza for next year’s campaign. National skipper skipper Safiq Rahim is expected to follow suit once the AFF Suzuki Cup is concluded.
