Malaysian youngster Nazmi Faiz Mansor scored a goal and created another in Beira-Mar youth team’s league win over the weekend
Former Harimau Muda A player, Nazmi Faiz Mansor continued his impressive form in Portugal when he helped his team, the youth side of SC Beira-Mar; win a league match on Saturday.
The nippy midfielder from Keramat scored a goal – his first official one for the club, and provided an assist for team-mate Ricardo Tavares in the 2-0 win over Academico de Ciseu.
With the win, Beira-Mar now lead the Portuguese Under-19 Division Two league with 19 points, having managed six wins and a draw so far.
Antonio Luis, Nazmi’s coach at the club, gave positive reviews of the midfielder’s progress in Portugal after the match.
“He has improved. I believe he has a good future here,” he told Beira-Mar’s official website.
Nazmi now stands a chance of being involved with the first team in the upcoming cup matches following his exploits with the juniors.
