The 2012 Malaysia Cup champions arrived at the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport to a sea of red, as thousands of fans greeted the team upon their arrival
Newly crowned Malaysia Cup champions Kelantan were greeted by more than ten thousand loyal fans at the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Kota Bharu when they returned with the trophy from Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Although the flight was delayed by almost two hours, the people of Kelantan waited patiently to see their heroes in flesh, coming home with the coveted cup.
At about 7pm, team manager Azman Ibrahim, captain Badri Radzi, and the rest of the players emerged with the Malaysia Cup in tow and were given a huge roar of approval by the ecstatic fans.
Deputy Finance Minister, Datuk Dr. Awang Adek Hussain and UMNO State Treasurer, Datuk Hanapi Mamat were at the airport to officially welcome the squad.
Bojan Hodak’s men were then ferried away in a bus to the Kota Bharu Trade Centre (KTC) for a brief celebration ceremony.
