Malaysian youngster Nazmi Faiz Mansor has been registered in the junior team of his club SC Beira-Mar for their National Championship Division II campaign.
The 19-year-old has started training with the team who finished second in the same division last season, but will continue to be available for first team selection.
Manager Luis Antonio told the club website that the aim of the team is to produce footballers capable of playing for the senior team in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. “At a club like Beira-Mar, progress is very important,” said Antonio.
Beira-Mar’s youth team, also scheduled to take part in the Aveiro Disctrict Championship, has been strengthened by the arrival of Gosay Saad from Al-Ittihad, Subtle Bernando from Sporting Lisbon and Diogo Castor from Academica.
