The Manchester City supremo expressed his delight at his squads' performances in their Far East Tour and appears set to return to Malaysia next year
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini expressed his delight at how their Far East Tour has gone, vowing to come back to Malaysia next year.
His boys wrapped up their visit with an impressive 3-1 win over Malaysia XI last night.
"It has been very good and we are happy here in Kuala Lumpur," he said in a post-match press conference when asked about the City’s Asian Tour. "Hopefully we will come back here next year."
Mancini went on to state his delight with the performances of his players, in particular that of striker Sergio Aguero.
“We were confident two weeks ago and I’m even more confident today" Mancini said when asked about City’s chances of retaining the Premiership title. "Sergio played very well and his partnership with Carlos has continued from last season,"
Manchester City have three more friendlies before their Community Shield showdown with Chelsea on August 12, and count Malaysia as a hotbed of their growing fan-base in Asia. Despite the lopsided result, the Italian was impsesed with his opponents.
“You have a good national team with a good manager. I hope you guys do well in the future,” he added.
