Youngsters Wan Zack and Wan Zaharulnizam have been given the chance to win playing contracts in Japanese third division
Harimau Muda wingers Wan Zack Haikal and Wan Zaharulnizam Zakaria will be leaving for Japan tomorrow morning to undergo a 2-week trial with FC Ryukyu, a Japanese third division club.
The duo, who caught the attention of Japan Dream FA’s scout, Masao Kiba, during the 2012 Olympic qualifying match against the Samurai nation will be based in Okinawa for the whole duration of the trial.
Out of the two, only Wan Zack has previous experience of playing for a foreign club, having turned out for Zlate Moravce in the Slovakian League last year for three months.
If successful, the two 21-year-olds would become the first Malaysians to play in the Japanese Association Football League system.
