Harimau Malaya to come up against Everton and Galatasaray in an invitational tournament hosted by Indonesia

Datuk K. Rajagopal is scheduled to take his men to Jakarta in July to take part in the 2012 Java Cup. The tournament that is part of pre-season training for the European clubs would also be the perfect platform for the national team’s preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup at the end of this year. Malaysia is looking to successfully defend the trophy they won two years ago in the same city.

Sandwiched in between the visits of English giants Arsenal and Barclays Premier League champions, Manchester City to Kuala Lumpur, this tournament could also see Rajagopal experimenting with line-ups and formations. Growing calls for the inclusion of Kelantan captain Badri Radzi and T-Team striker Faiz Subri in the national set-up could be answered, providing them with the chance to prove themselves to the coach.

The competition which is set to last four days from July 26 to July 29 will also include the national team of the host country, Indonesia.
