Kedah head coach Wan Jamak Wan Hassan preferred to talk on the morale of his players instead of the controversial decision by the linesman
Wan Jamak Wan Hassan refused to comment on the disallowed goal that caused his team the three points. V Thirumurugan’s goal in the dying moments of the match was harshly disallowed by the referee when it appears that the goal was legitimate.
“No comment, nothing.” He replied when pressed about his thoughts on the referee’s decision.
Instead, the coach decided to talk about the players’ morale.
“I think we were playing with lack of confidence (in the first half). The players’ are still down because of the defeat (in the previous match against Kelantan). Obviously the morale of the players are low but they did their best.”
“In the second half we came out to win and our game play improved. We managed to score a goal but unfortunately for us they (T-Team) got themselves the equalizer.” He added.
“It’s the morale of the players that is low now. They lost focus (after scoring) and conceded. But they have tried their best and I have no complaint regarding their performance.”
Regardless of what happened in Stadium Darul Aman, the coach must be ready to prepare his players physically and mentally coming in the match against Lions XII in the next four days.
