The Football Association of Malaysia will be sending a team to compete in the 2012 Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy, which will be held from 25th February to 10th March 2012.

The 11-team tournament is a biennial U-21 competition for nations in the ASEAN region and the 2012 event will be the fourth edition since its inception in 2002. The 2009 edition was cancelled in light of the Fifa sanctions on Brunei Football Association then.

Malaysia has been drawn in Group A together with Brunei, Cambodia, Timor-Leste and Vietnam.

Malaysia will open their campaign against Vietnam on February 25 before rounding-off the group stage a week later against Cambodia.

The Final is scheduled for March 9. All matches will be played in Brunei.
