The France international has been out of action for the past four months after undergoing surgery in May, but is on his way back to fitness and has resumed training with the ballReal Madrid defender Raphael Varane is one step closer to making his comeback after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury after resuming training with the ball.
The 20-year-old underwent surgery in May and was initially expected to be match fit in time for the start of the 2013-14 campaign but suffered a setback in his recovery earlier this summer that has kept him out of action so far.
Varane is now on his way back again, though, and is delighted to be nearing his comeback at last after four months on the sidelines.
"I am very happy to have resumed training with the ball," the centre-back wrote on his official Facebook profile.
"We will now work to feel comfortable on the pitch again and increase the intensity of training later this week."
Varane joined Madrid from Lens in the summer of 2011 and has since become an integral part of the Liga giants' first team.
