Atletico Madrid attacker Arda Turan was full of praise for team-mate Radamel Falcao, describing him as an "outstanding star" following their side's 3-0 Europa League final triumph over La Liga rivals Athletic Bilbao.
All eyes before the game were on the Colombian striker, who went into the match joint top-scorer in this year's competition with 10 goals, and having notched 33 times in all competitions in his debut season in Spain. He did not disappoint, scoring two first-half goals that set his side on the way to victory.
Diego completed the scoring for Diego Simeone's men with a composed run and finish late on.
When asked about Falcao, Arda, the former Galatasaray captain, was effusive in his praise of the South American, telling the media: "It's a great joy to play with him."
He was overcome with emotion following the final whistle, stating: "I can't describe how I feel."
He claimed his side "did everything to win" and spoke of how his own failure to score meant nothing considering the final result: "I couldn't score but it's not important for me."
Victory means Atletico have now won the Europa League twice in three years, following their 2-1 extra-time win over Fulham back in 2010.
The Rojiblancos must now turn their attention to their La Liga clash with Villarreal at El Madrigal on Sunday, knowing they must win that game in order to have any chance of playing in next season's Champions League.
