In the past, both PKNS and Selangor have met 12 times in all competitions, and they both have an almost equally good record against each other, with Selangor having a small edge over their 'brother' PKNS FC.
For the past 10 years, Selangor have recored five wins against PKNS, four draws only three loses, while PKNS have won three times against The Red Giants.
As per the table below, the last time these two teams met, they draw 2-2 at the end of March. However, the last time PKNS recorded a win over Selangor was way back in 2012 where they beat them 2-0 at home.
When it comes to the current form, bottom of the table PKNS have had a run of bad form since May, recording only one win out of their last nine games. The last game that they won was at home against current MSL champions and fellow strugglers LionsXII.
For Selangor, they have played well throughout the season but a recent dip in form found them lose top spot. Their last game was a win over Sarawak (3-0) and it could be the key for them to boost their morale ahead of the crucial clash against PKNS.
The return of Paulo Rangel really spurred the team on, and with 15 goals already this season you can bet that he will be determined to score again in this fixture.
For PKNS, Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh has been somewhat disappointing, but they still have fight in their team and it would not be a surprise if they can take on the Red Giants to at least get a draw in this game.
It's not a secret that Selangor will be gunning all out in this game as they need a win, and they will also hope that Sarawak can beat JDT if they want to win the trophy and end their trophy drought.
