JDT 3-0 Kelantan
The role on the right wing or right side of midfield for Johor Darul Ta'zim this season has often been given to vice-captain, Amri Yahyah. After his magnificent exploits for Pahang last year, Amirulhadi Zainal has been peripheral figure since his move down South.
Under Cesar Jimenez, Amirulhadi has often has to sit in the shadows but has been given a new lease of life under Bojan Hodak. He was given a chance in this crucial encounter against Kelantan and Amirulhadi did not disappoint his coach.
It was down to his runs cutting in from the right hand side and beyond the last line of Kelantan's defence that twice created the goal for JDT. The first he clipped the ball past Khairul Fahmi after receiving Safiq Rahim's superb through pass. The second, his cutback enabled Nazrin Nawi to score the second goal.
While Amirulhadi will no doubt be pleased with his output, Mahali Jasuli will also be thankful for the amount of work that his midfield compatriot doesn't shirk his defensive duties. The right hand side for JDT was almost impenetrable.
Having helped Pahang to triumph last year, Amirulhadi has gotten his current team just that little bit closer to the dream of landing the Super League title.
