With the season coming to the end, only two teams are left to fight for the MSL title; JDT and Selangor. Second placed Selangor were up against Kelantan in Kota Bahru. With the absence of Brazilian forward, Paolo Rangel, The Red Giants looked sore upfront and were unable to deliver the firepower. The home side took this advantage when their striker, Forkey Doe scored the first goal in the 22nd minute from a header. Mehmet’s men never looked like going to score even though they were a goal behind. The Red Warriors continued to pile on pressure to the home side and managed to get another goal from Wan Zaharulnizam five minutes from the end of time.

JDT failed to capitalize and move four points ahead of Selangor in a match against ATM in Selayang Stadium after they lost by 3-1. The match was rather entertaining with both teams displaying wonderful performances. The first half was dominated by The Gladiators with Bruno Martelotto scoring first. The game continued in the second half and Muhd Affizie added the second goal for the home side in the 59th minute. With many chances wasted by the visitors, they finally got their goal through Asraruddin Omar in the last six minutes of the game.

In the East Malaysia, Sarawak entertained Pahang in a match which saw both sides earning a point each. The Elephants performed quite well and managed to get the first goal through Matias Conti after he tapped in the ball in the 34th minute. The Crocs hit back two minutes after the break with Joseph Kallang Tie scoring from Ashri Chuchu’s cross to put the scoreline 1-1.

Terengganu sits in 4th place after they earned a draw against Sime Darby FC at Sultan Nasaruddin Stadium. The first half was all about The Turtles when they scored two goals through Mario Karlovic (5’) and Nor Farhan (14’). The visitors changed their tactics in the second half and it was proven effective when they managed to equalise through William Mensah in the 69th minute and Mahmoud Amna two minutes later.

PKNS FC shocked the reigning champions LionsXII by defeating them 2-1 at home. The home fans were given an early surprise after Jun Yi Quak scored first in the 25th minute. The Fire Ants bounced back four minutes before the break through Mohd Arip Amiruddin to put the scoreline 1-1. A minute after the start of the second half, Patrick Ronaldinho scored an important goal to put Haji Ibrahim’s men the lead. The scoreline remained 2-1 until the end to give the home sides a valuable three points.

Bottomed side Perak battled T-Team FC at home and needed three points to remain in the MSL next season. The home side were unlucky as they conceded an early goal scored by Jimmy Mulisa in the 12th minute. But, Abdulafees Abdulsalam gave The Bos Gaurus some hopes when he scored in the 25th minute. But at the end, both teams had to share a point each after the game ended 1-1.
