After suffering a rare home defeat against Johor Darul Ta'zim, Selangor bounced back in style by defeating Terengganu at their own den. The Red Giants had to play the entire second half a man short but still managed to come out on top by 4 goals to 1.

Question marks were raised in the manner which Paulo Rangel got himself sent off late in the first half. However, there was no doubt in the minds of S. Veenod, what he had to do. He lead his team to knuckle down and thwart the expected onslaught from the Turtles.

Veenod was everywhere in that second half and almost made it look like Selangor still had 11 men on the pitch, given the tremendous amount of work he produced. Always the tireless runner, the Penangnite step up into an entirely new gear tonight.

Not only was Veenod there to help out his defence by always pressuring the likes of Zairo and Karlovic whenever they are in possession of the ball, he still somehow found energy in his tank to support counter attacks. The 3rd and 4th goal came about that way, via him still powering up forward.

Durakovic will travel back to the Klang Valley absolutely delighted with his team's performance and none other than Veenod deserves all the praise.
