Selangor 0-2 Sevilla
The Spanish visitors showed Malaysia how it's done in Spain, turning on the style despite playing without several of their key players. However the ones they had with them made it count, making sure they leave Malaysia with a win. On the back of this win is winger Jose Antonio Reyes, who kept the homeside pinned in their half for most of the match. That is no easy task, considering Selangor currently have the best defensive record in the league.
But Reyes kept the defence occupied with his runs, and when he passes the ball, it was always a threatening one. One of such deliveries led to Sevilla's second goal, when his teasing cross was headed in by Diogo Figueiras just before the break, effectively shutting down any chance for a Selangor come back.
Sevilla could have added more through Reyes in the second half to embarrass the hosts, but perhaps they were heeding the Selangor FA deputy president, Mokhtar Ahmad's earlier defeatist plea to take it easy on them.
