Cesar Jimenez's star-studded charges were expected to steamroll past a seemingly weakened PKNS FC deprived of the services of talisman, Nazmi Faiz.

However, a slack Johor side were punished by The Red Ants as early as the 37th minute through a well-crafted move between Aminuddin Noor and Ronaldinho Wleh. Wan Jamak's men were threatening throughout with their quick counter attacking football.

More impressively though was the performance of their defensive stalwart, Hamka Hamzah. The Indonesian international hardly put a foot wrong and man-marked JDT's Norshahrul Idlan Talaha out of the game to the point where the trequartista was eventually marginalised to a bit-part role on the wings in the second half!

On current form, it is prominent for all to see that Hamka has established himself well as an indispensable member of The Red Ants.
