Maziya 1-1 Selangor
Selangor were fortunate to come away with a point after playing almost half of their away AFC Cup match against Maziya SRC with ten men after their goalkeeper, Hamsani Ahmad was sent off at the start of the second half.
However this did not mean that they were on the defensive after the ejection. They were still attacking the lacklustre home side, mostly through their diminutive Indonesian winger Andik Vermansyah. He was a constant threat for Selangor, going down the left and the right wings to pin back Maziya in their own half and deter them from going on the offensive using their one-man advantage. As a result of this, the 23-year old was fouled often by Maziya's defence.
However Andik's presence and runs were not enough to help his team retake the lead and win the match, due to his hesitance to go for a goal himself. The match finished 1-1, but his performance should show the Red Giants' head coach; Mehmet Durakovic that he should be starting more matches for Selangor.
