Top and Flop: Malaysia U-23 1(3)-(4)1 Indonesia U-23

Goal takes a look at who topped and who flopped as Young Tigers lost to old enemies Young Garudas in a grudge match
Welcome to Goal's new feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. We will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day.

The not aptly named 20-year-old Persebaya Surabaya defensive stalwart put in a majestic performance at the back for the Young Garudas to nullify the attacking threats posed by natural finishers; Rozaimi Rahman and Hazwan Bakri. His positional sense was so good that he won almost all the early balls from the Malaysian forwards. He proved that he has a lot of heart with a faultless performance last night.

Johor Darul Ta'zim's "Il Futuro Capitano" had a bad day at the office last night. Nothing went right for the usually talismanic midfielder as his trademark pinpoint passess were off the mark and he was dispossessed by the opponents rather easily. A disappointing performance by the skipper.
