Goal takes a look at who topped and who flopped as Young Tigers sealed a dramatic win over the Golden Star

Welcome to Goal's new feature: Top and Flop. For every game, a candidate will be put forward, as chosen by Goal, who deserves recognition for achieving something special. We will also name a player whose performance wasn’t up to the mark on the given day.

TOP: IZHAM TARMIZI

The Terengganu born lad played out of his skin to save the Young Tigers as his goal was bombarded with shot after shot by the determined Vietnam forward line led by skipper Văn Quyết. Izham displayed outstanding cat-like reflexes and good positional sense to keep his team in contention for the prized semi final berth before two quickfire strikes by Ashri Chuchu and D.Saarvindran settles the breathtaking tie.

FLOP: THAMIL ARASU

Eventhough he is a tireless worker upfront, the mark of a good striker is to score goals consistently. Thamil displayed courageous work ethics but ultimately failed to deliver the cutting edge finishing needed.
