Selangor complete foreign quota, Perak seeks to replace Rangel with another Brazilian
SELANGORAccording to @frman123, an insider at the Selangor FA, the Red Giants have signed their final foreign player for the 2014 season, defender Steve Pantelidis. The 30-year old formerly played for Perth Glory, and prior to that, Indonesia's Bintang F.C. His signing came following the arrival of Indonesian Andik Vermansyah, and Brazilians Paulo Rangel and Junior Aparecido at the Klang Valley team.

Former Geylang United skipper Jozef Kaplan started the match, turning in a promising performance that led to him scoring a goal himself, after having beeen strongly linked with the 2011 Malaysia Cup champions in the last month. He played the match alongside four unidentified foreign players. One of the foreign players, believed to be an East Asian national, scored another goal for the Jangs, while the remaining goal was scored by their newest local signing; former Terengganu midfielder G. Puaneswaran.
PDRM also attracted attention with several players that they fielded in the match. They fielded former Malaysia defenders Sabre Abu and Muslim Ahmad, former Perak foreign defender Rafael Souza, and ex Kuala Lumpur defender and goalkeeper Munir Amran and Azizon Kadir. Interestingly, Helmi Eliza played between the sticks for PDRM in the match, despite earlier reports that he is rejoining Kedah from Felda United.
