National striker, Safee Sali who had earlier been linked to return to Selangor from JDT I, has been reported to renege on his agreement with Selangor, to stay with JDT I. The Johor Football Association (PBNJ) has apparently agreed to offer Safee the same amount of salary, and to make sure that he plays for JDT I in the Super League, instead of JDT II in the Premier League. PBNJ has also been reported to agree to refund the signing fees paid to him by Selangor.
Former Leverkusen defender Manuel Friedrich, who had attended a trial with Sarawak, had been reported to sign for German giants Borussia Dortmund instead. The 34-year old was signed by the club as part of the effort to plug the holes left by the injury crisis that is currently plaguing them. He is set to play for them until the end of the 2013/14 season.
A report by Sinar Harian confirmed that Sarawak's top scorer this season; Bobby Gonzales will not follow them into the Super League next season. He will stay in the Super League instead, after he signed for PDRM for next season on a one-year contract. He also explained that he is only leaving the Premier League champions because he had been released by Sarawak.
