PKNS FC are not wasting any time finding their squad a replacement head coach and Wan Jamak is the man to take over the helm for the Red Ants.
After their former head coach, Abdul Rahman Ibrahim decided not to extend his contract with them to move to Terengganu, PKNS wasted no time in finding his replacement.
Yesterday the Petaling Jaya-based club announced that they have secured the services of former Malaysia national team head coach Wan Jamak Wan Hassan for the 2014 season.
The 55-year-old's most recent role as a head coach was in 2012 for Kedah, and he did not coach any team for the 2013 season.
Prior to that, he had led Negeri Sembilan to the 2009 Malaysia Cup, and the 2010 FA Cup.
According to the local media, Wan Jamak's contract will run for two years, with a possible extension for another year.
During the same announcement, the club President, Norhisham Mohd Ghouth also revealed the future of some of the PKNS players.
He told Harian Metro that they are parting ways with 10 ten players including their import Roman Chmelo, who only recently signed during this year's April transfer window whereas their Liberian forward Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh will be staying with them until 2017.
