As the Elephants advanced to the next stage of Malaysia's premier cup competition, Dollah Salleh was beaming from ear to ear after his team defeated PKNS 2-1 in the second leg of the tie. The Pahang coach will no doubt be delighted with the burgeoning performance of Razman Roslan.

Now recognised by Datuk K. Rajagopal in the Malaysian senior squad, Razman has grown from strength to strength as this season passed. He has built up a good understanding with Damion Stewart as his centre-back partner.

Possessing the physical presence as well as good pace, Razman is a formidable opponent for anyone and in yesterday's showing, even Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh found him a wall too sturdy. The big prolific PKNS striker was closely marked and couldn't impose his physicality on the two centre-backs as he normally does against other teams.

What Razman did very well yesterday was to win his tackles cleanly. He and the rest of his team would probably have been briefed about how strong PKNS is on set pieces. Razman's challenges were calculated and by winning possession cleanly, he was able to initiate Pahang counterattacks as well.

Razman was the last player to leave the pitch at full time. He took the time to go round the stadium to applaud a strong group of partisan Pahang fans who attended the match. He also lead the Ultras to one of their favourite chants.

Judging by his performance yesterday, he could well be leading Pahang further than just the semifinal.
