Goal.com picks out the star performers in the Malaysian top flight after another thrilling weekend of actionNational pair, S. Kunalan and Mahali Jasuli stole the headlines this week as they constantly tormented the flimsy Darul Takzim defence with their pace and penetrating runs. Nippy Kunalan scored the opener which set the tone for the bashing before the latter scored an amazing individual effort to cap an incredible win over the Southern Tigers. And of course the dependable Norazlan Razali who continued his dazzling form this week is the custodian of choice when he played a major role in the Red Giants' demolishion of Fandi Ahmad's forces.
Safuwan Baharuddin completes the backline alongside G. Mahathevan. The young Singaporean lad marshaled the defence and kept Mandjou Keita and Indra Putra from scoring in the LionsXII's victory against Kelantan. He won most of the aerial battles and even had a few goal scoring chances. While Mahathevan, the T-Team defender, was a tower of strength in defence to prevent the Red Giants from making an already dismal season worse for the Titans.
This week's selection sees pacy midfielders slotting into the middle. Christie Jayaseelan marked his return from injury with a goal in ATM's thriller at Perak. He caused the Seladangs all sorts of trouble with his direct running. Joining him will be R.Gopinathan and Farderin Kadir. While Gopinathan scored Pahang's only goal in their lost against PKNS FC, the latter helped the Penyu's register a win in the city derby between Terengganu and T-Team.
The frontline of our selection after round 10 of the Malaysian Super League features three import stirkers - two of them are familiar faces. First is Forkey Doe of Selangor who was at the centre of everything good that the Red Giants did as he terrorised the Johor backline. Three assists for Kunanlan, Jasuli and Amri, as well as a goal which highlighted Doe's movement as he ghosted into the area to finish off K. Soley's cross.
Marlon Alex James was just as excellent for ATM. He put in two goals which helped his team pick up the come-from-behind victory at Perak. His first effort showed the nimble footwork the big striker has, as well as his lethal finishing ability. His second goal came after a great run in which he beat two men, before doggedly dispossessing the Perak defence and bundling home.
Last but not the least in the team of the week is TOTW debutant, Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh. The Liberian forward scored the equaliser when PKNS went down to Pahang and later scored the first and third goals in their emphatic 3-1 victory over the Tok Gajah.
