Macca: City and Chelsea will win and apply pressure on United

Former player and football pundit Steve McMahon predicts the outcomes of this week’s English Premier League matches

Swansea City vs Manchester United

Manchester United will enjoy making the trip to play Swansea because they like to keep the ball. United tend to thrive playing in these kind of games where they can afford the time and not be rushed from one end to another.

Prediction: 0-2 (Half-time 0-1)

Chelsea vs Aston Villa

Chelsea may have just returned from a grueling trip from the Club World Cup but the jet lag should not affect them too much seeing that they have already beaten Leeds in the Capital One Cup rather comfortably.

Aston Villa may come into the game having scalped Liverpool last week but I don’t see them having enough quality to overcome Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Prediction: 2-0 (Half-time 1-0)
