Adidas officially launched its latest weapon on the football pitch; the adidas Predator® Lethal Zones. Complete with five deadly zones for controlling the game, the Predator® Lethal Zones positions an arsenal of possibilities at a player’s feet. One zone for high-speed dribbling, another for perfect first touch, a sweet spot to generate pace while striking at goal, a driver to open up the game with long distance passing and a fifth zone for precision passing. Five lethal zones, one deadly result: Perfect Ball Control.
The launch which took place over a unique 10,200 sq indoor football pitch in Sports Planet, Kota Damansara was set with five challenges created to showcase the five deadly zones of the iconic boot. The challenges were inspired by adidas Malaysia fans who had earlier submitted their most lethal and deadly ideas on the field as part of a consumer contest in conjunction with the kick off to the UEFA EURO 2012.
The 21 adidas winners together with members from the national team – Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, S. Kunalan, Asraruddin Omar and Farizal Marlias were put to the test in the adidas Predator Lethal Zones contest in a one night event which featured guest judges – Ben Ibrahim, local football pundit and TV Host, model and actor Fizo Omar and Zainal Abidin Rawop, local sports commentator and host. The event not only showcased the Predator® Lethal Zones but a unique one of a kind obstacle course specially designed to showcase just how ‘lethal’ the new installment of Predator® is.
Alongside the launch, adidas Malaysia and its guests and celebrities such as Dina Nadzir, supermodel Amber Chia, Fizo Omar, Sazzy Falak and Shawn Lee also celebrated the success of the UEFA EURO 2012 Championship and Spain’s victory in the UEFA EURO 2012 Championship.

A self professed adidas user since his primary school days, he attributed his win to the Predator® Lethal Zones which made his win a lot easier.
“My win was made easier by the Predator Lethal Zones boot. The five elements together with the boot design make it easier to control and dribble the ball on top of being comfortable. There are also marked improvements from the previous Predator boots,” he said to Goal.com.
He went on to wish his gratitude to adidas for the opportunity afforded to him “I would also like to thank adidas for giving him the opportunity to participate in the event.”
World-class players such as Van Persie (Arsenal FC), Xavi (FC Barcelona), Nasri (Manchester City FC), Nani (Manchester United FC) and Di Maria (FC Real Madrid) have tested and contributed valuable input to the development of Predator® Lethal Zones and will debut the boot on pitches across the globe in May 2012.
The new Predator® Lethal Zones football is available at adidas Sports Performance Concept Stores in KLCC, Pavilion, The Gardens and Empire Subang in Bright Blue / Infrared / Collegiate Navy / White and retails at RM799.
