Wenger has failed to beat Mourinho in nine attempts, and the Portuguese feels he has faced tougher Arsenal sides in the past.

"For me it's a game like any other, but I still think about the fans. It's a London derby against a long-time rival so try to make use of their energy to motivate me even more," he told beIN Sport.

"I have already played against a "better Arsenal", that of the 2004-05 season was amazing, so I am impressed by their level this season, but if you give me eight years to build, I will have a great team too!"

Mourinho has played down the rivalry between himself and Wenger and claims any past animosity is now gone.

He continued: "In the past, our relationship was not the best. It was not because of me or him, it was because of us.

"That changed, I changed. He respects me, I respect him, so the situation is perfect."
