thumbnail Hello,

Manuel Pellegrini starts his tenure as manager at home to Newcastle before welcoming neighbours Manchester United to the Etihad in only his fifth league game in charge

Manchester City will kick-off their 2013-14 Premier League campaign at home to Newcastle on the opening day of the season, before arch-rivals Manchester United make the short journey across the city on September 21.

With Manuel Pellegrini now in charge and looking set to invest in the squad left by Roberto Mancini, the Chilean will look to take advantage of their four home games in the busy month of December and will hope to be leading the chasing pack over the festive period.

City play the majority of the 'top six' teams at home during the first half of the season and will face tough away trips in the second, but if the title race goes down to the wire they do have a home game against West Ham on the final day of the season.
