It had been feared that the Frenchman was set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a groin injury but a swift comeback appears to be on the cardsQPR striker Loic Remy is in contention to face Swansea after overcoming a groin injury, Harry Redknapp has revealed.
Initial reports suggested that the Frenchman, who arrived at the west London club for £8 million in January, could be sidelined for as long as two months.
However, Redknapp has been quick to dismiss those rumours, claiming that Remy could even return for the trip to south Wales.
"He's close to being fit for Saturday," he told reporters. "He trained this morning, he's very close.
"But I don't want to rush him in case he breaks down."
The 26-year-old has made two appearances for his new club - netting on his debut and playing the full 90 minutes as the Rs held champions Manchester City to a 0-0 draw on January 29.
