The Nigerian striker backs the Croatian to return to goalscoring ways, seeing the former Rangers man as a mentoring figure rather than a rival for a first-team placeVictor Anichebe is confident that fellow Everton striker Nikica Jelavic can returning to goalscoring ways soon.
The Croatian made a stunning start to his Goodison Park, scoring 11 goals in 16 appearances after moving from Rangers in last season's January transfer window, but has failed to replicate that form this term, only netting seven in 27 games.
Anichebe has been in improving form this season and has hit six in 18 but sees Jelavic as a mentor rather than a rival for a place in David Moyes' team.

"When I was injured Nikica took the scoring burden himself, he has been playing on his own every game. There comes a time where you have to take him out because he is pretty tired but the best of Nikica will come.
"You know he’s fighting every day and he will be back to his best."
